Wenyuan Shi, Chairman
Prior to CSOFT, Wenyuan was founder and chief executive officer at Worksoft, Inc., a multilingual globalization firm with such clients as Microsoft, IBM, HP, Oracle and SGI. In addition to his activities at Worksoft, Wenyuan was president and member of the Management Committee for Huaneng Control Systems, Inc.
Wenyuan is an active board member for several prominent China-based organizations. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of a number of local companies. Wenyuan was featured as one of China's most successful entrepreneurs in the early 90's. Wenyuan received his M.B.A. from China's prestigious Tsinghua University.
Shunee Yee, President & CEO
Yee founded CSOFT in 2003 with the goal of establishing the company as the world's leading globalization firm, with the strategic delivery of cost-effective solutions for large enterprises. Under her leadership, CSOFT has grown from a Beijing-based office to a global corporation with offices in key hubs around the world. Yee's more than 15 years experience in the localization industry includes pioneering Lionbridge Technologies' technical development services in China as Vice President for Asia Market Development. Earlier, Yee helped build China operations for International Communications as Vice President & General Manager for Asia Pacific operations at the company. Yee is the 2009 winner of the prestigious international Stevie Award for Best Asian Entrepreneur for Women in Business. She successfully completed a senior executive education program at Harvard Business School, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Nanjing Normal University in Nanjing, and a Master's degree from Rhode Island College.
Tammy Werner, Director, MedL10N
Werner has more than 15 years experience in technical communications for the medical device industry, and leads MedL10N, CSOFT’s life sciences division. She joined MedL10N in 2009 from Beckman Coulter, a multi-billion dollar manufacturer of biomedical instruments, where she managed the production and localization of all instrument manuals and consumable labeling for the Miami production center. As the head of Beckman’s technical communications, Werner streamlined the development of technical documents, saving the company millions in distribution costs. Werner earned a BS in Secondary Education from Ball State University and is working toward a Master’s in Project Management from Keller Graduate School.
Uwe Muegge, Director, MedL10N
Uwe has been a leader in the translation and localization industry for more than 10 years. Prior to CSOFT, Uwe lead the terminology and machine translation efforts at Medtronic, the world's largest medical technology company. Employing Lean-Sigma methodologies, he designed translation workflows and processes that started before the development of the product to be localized began. Uwe is intimately familiar with the strict quality requirements involved in translating for regulatory submissions. He is the author of the book "Translation Contract: A Standards-Based Model Solution"and more than a dozen articles. Uwe teaches Computer-Assisted Translation and Terminology Management courses at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and he is a member of the U.S. delegation to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Uwe holds master's degrees in Telecommunication and German Translation from the University of Oregon and the Monterey Institute of International Studies, respectively.
Carl Yao, Executive VP, Global Business Development
Prior to CSOFT, Carl served as president and founder of YAOS Technologies that built multilingual applications for global markets. Carl was the principal architect for the development of the world's first multilingual speech engine that used natural human voice to synthesize speech. Previously, Carl also served as director of interactive technologies at Animation Technologies in Boston, a visual communication company using multimedia and 3D to develop legal and corporate training applications. Carl was instrumental in helping the company win its first industry award (MIMIC) for overall excellence in multimedia application development. Carl also served as director of emerging technologies for Northeast Digital, Inc. focusing on multimedia application development.
Carl completed a master's program in computer science from Brown University. He graduated with a BA degree in mathematics and computer science from Whitman College in Washington.
Richard Chin, Life Sciences Practice Lead, MedL10N
Richard has over 20 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry, having worked as a scientist, head of product development, marketing and sales. He is vastly experienced in technical writing, clinical submission, global regulatory guidelines, and internationalization. Richard has published articles in the DIA Forum, Pharma Magazine, Multi-Lingual and other industry publications. Prior to joining CSOFT, Richard was the Life Sciences Practice Lead at Moravia. He is a member of ISPOR, RAPS, DIA and ACRP. Richard has a BA in Biology and an MBA in Marketing.
Linda Liang, Vice President, Corporate Finance
Linda is responsible for overall accounting, reporting, and financial activities of the company. Linda is a certified public accountant (CPA) and has many years of working experience at professional accounting firms including HuaChen International Investment Consulting Ltd and Sino Reality Inc. She also led and managed several large multinational projects and conducted a number of complex foreign-investment audits in China. She holds a professional certification for International Accounting Standards from the Institute of Financial Accountants of England. Linda is also an official member of the National Institute of Accountants of Australia. Linda has a Bachelor degree in Economics from ShanDong Financial Institute of China.
Jason Xue, Vice President, Globalization Operations
Jason is responsible for managing CSOFT engineering services for globalization and application development. Prior to CSOFT, Jason worked as senior manager for software engineering at ChinaConnect, a former Lionbridge unit, responsible for multilingual ERP and wireless application development on a variety of platforms. Previously, Jason also worked as senior localization engineer at International Communications (INT'L.com). He has a bachelor's degree in microelectronics & solid-state electronics from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
Matt Arney, Vice President, Global Business Development
Matt is responsible for leading CSOFT's North American business development efforts. He joined CSOFT in 2004 after 8+ years of working in the Japanese software distribution industry. Prior to CSOFT, Matt was co-founder and V.P. of Business Development at Act2 Inc., one of Japan's leading software distribution companies. Matt was instrumental in securing the rights to 50+ popular US and European software products and growing Act2's annual revenues from zero to $10 million dollars. Prior to Act2, Matt worked as the Japan Sales Manager for Seiwa Systems; Japan's largest independent software distribution company. In addition to his sales and marketing duties, Matt oversaw the localization of over twenty software titles. Matt holds a BA degree from San Diego State University and is functionally fluent in Japanese.
Helena Rojas, Director, Global Business Development for Australia and Europe
Helena Rojas is responsible for leading CSOFT’s Global Business Development efforts for Europe and Australia. Helena has led various Trilingual Executive roles within leading international companies. She assisted in the development of major national and international projects. Prior to joining CSOFT, Helena was the Localization Manager for a major plastic molding software company in Australia. She was responsible for translating French and Spanish software / documentation and managing the overall localization requirements for 13 languages, a role which gained her strong industry knowledge and experience. Helena has lived in France, Spain, Chile and Australia. She is fluent in French, Spanish and English and studied at the University of Western Sydney a BA degree in Linguistics.
Hiroshi Matsumoto, Chief Representative & Lead Japanese Linguist, CSOFT Japan
Hiroshi is responsible for managing CSOFT Japan's daily operations and also serves as a lead linguist for Japanese translation and editing. With more than 30 years in the Japanese localization field, Hiroshi brings a wealth of expertise to our Japanese language team. Prior to joining CSOFT, Hiroshi was instrumental in the marketing and preparation of international standards such as the International Electro-technical Commission and International Standardization Organization for Electronic Components for Hitachi Cable and Murata Manufacturing Company in Japan. Hiroshi is a graduate of Osaka University with a BS degree in Physics and has studied at the New Castle upon Tyne University in the United Kingdom.
Klaus Herrmann, Chief Representative & Lead German Linguist, CSOFT Germany 
CSOFT Germany is led by Klaus Herrmann, a localization expert having more than 25 years experience as a technical translator with a vast network of linguistic and technical experts. As Chief Representative and Lead Linguist of CSOFT Germany, Klaus serves as the direct link between German customers and CSOFT Beijing. Throughout his career, Klaus has built a vast network of linguists and technical experts, which offers prospective clients a unique advantage with respect to pricing and resources. Herrmann has studied at Germany's Cologne University.
Bill Liu, Chief Technology Officer
Bill is responsible for leading CSOFT's globalization technology development and innovation. Before assuming this role, Bill was the chief localization architect at CSOFT responsible for project analysis and planning. Prior to CSOFT, Bill worked as CTO at eChance, a provider of network security solutions. Bill also served as a senior technology manager at Lionbridge Technologies, responsible for the development and technical support of ForeignDesk, one of the first generation translation memory software. Prior to Lionbridge, Bill was the CTO at Transtar, a machine translation software developer. He has acquired broad experience in the development of globalization technologies through his 15 years in the localization industry. Bill has a master’s degree in applied mathematics from Chengdu Geology College and a bachelor's degree from Hebei Geology University in China.
