The end of 2017 is fast approaching. I’d like to take the opportunity to once again take a look at some of the many industry events that are upcoming in the new year. The translation and localization industry is filled with conferences, learning events, and expos where leaders in the industry can collaborate and explore current issues in this fast-paced environment.
Below you will find a small selection of events from the first quarter of 2018 that you hopefully will find interesting.
Q1 Translation Conferences:
24-26 Jan 2018, San Jose Convention Center, San Jose USA
The ATD TechKnowledge, organized by the Association for Talent Development (ATD) will take place from 24th January to 26th January 2018. The conference will cover areas like attention on the design and delivery, management and strategy of technology and learning and many more.
29 – 30 January 2018, The Localization Institute, Menlo Park, California USA
The event focuses on technology integration and the translation industry. Open communication about real-world issues, problem resolutions, and desires for technology improvement will be discussed.
22-23 February 2018, Elia (European Language Industry Association), Athens, Greece
The event is intended to strengthen the language industry by bringing language service companies and independent language professionals together in a positive, collaborative environment.
1-2 March 2018, XTM International, Amsterdam, Netherlands
The event provides an opportunity to connect with global content, translation and localization professionals from international enterprises interested in translation technology and strategies.
7-8 March 2018, tekom, Bengaluru, India
The conference will address topics such as cloud, mobile and project management documentation, in addition to documentation standards and video and content requirements.
13- 16 March 2018, Boston, MA
Globalization & Localization Association (GALA) is a global, non-profit trade association for the language industry. They support the language sector by creating communities, championing standards, sharing knowledge, and advancing technology.
17-21 March 2018. Aloft Boston Seaport, Boston MA
AMTA 2018 is the 13th biennial conference organized by the Association for Machine Translation in the Americas. The AMTA conferences are unique in bringing together MT researchers, developers, and users of MT technology from government and industry.
23 – 24 March 2018, TLC Conferences, Warsaw, Poland
The conference is an annual international event focusing on the latest technologies, localization industry trends and various domains of translation.
3-5 April 2018. Tokyo, Japan.
